The Bexar County Medical Society Alliance is a multi-faceted organization of physician spouses, both male and female, organized to support civic, philanthropic, and public health projects in the community, to foster friendships within our family of medicine and to become active in legislative matters that support the free and unfettered practice of medicine. Our bylaws state that active members shall include "spouses of physicians who are, were, or eligible to be members of the Bexar County Medical Society." This includes spouses of active physicians, retired, or widowed spouses who have not re-married outside of the profession, and spouses of interns, residents, and medical students as well. We have some other "Honorary and Special Categories," too. Where both spouses are physicians, we welcome both as members of our organization.
